Hi! I'm Jason, a student in Aerospace Engineering and Math from New Jersey. My favorite events to run are build and inquiry events! Besides staying involved with Science Olympiad @ UCSD, I also volunteer as part of the national rules committees and help maintain Duosmium.org, a Science Olympiad results platform.

Hi everyone! I’m Seven, a third-year majoring in Human Biology on the pre-med track. My favorite Science Olympiad event has always been Anatomy & Physiology. SciOly truly expanded my horizon and introduced me to some of my favorite people. I also love scenic hikes while listening to phonk (yes), photography, and golfing—when I’m not in my neurobiology research lab.

Owen Dong

What's up guys! My name is Owen and I am currently a 3rd year pre-med studying Human Biology. My passion for life sciences stemmed from my time as a competitor for the New York team Ward Melville High School, where I specialized in biology-oriented events. At UCSD, I have written tests and event supervised for competitions all over California (SD Regionals, BirdSO, GGSO, etc.). Besides SciOly, I am a biology tutor under the student organization BioConnect, and in my free time I like to go to the gym, do sports (e.g., tennis, badminton), study for the MCAT, play video games, and sleep.

Ananya Raman

Hi!! I'm Ananya, and I'm a third-year majoring in Neurobiology on the pre-med track. I love life and earth science events the most (shout out Anatomy & Physiology and Fossils!) but I've competed in many different subjects during my time as a competitor. I've gained so much from Science Olympiad, so I'm very grateful that I get to help out in our alumni chapter here (and meet so many great people)! Other than Science Olympiad, I'm also a research assistant in both the Zage Lab and the Heyman Lab, studying pediatric neuroblastomas and social cognitive development. I also work as a medical assistant as well! In my free time, I love to bake, host events, listen to music, watch anime, and hang out with friends :))

What's up! I'm Vishal, a second-year Math and Physics student at UCSD. I enjoy test writing for physical science and chemistry events at various regional and invitational Science Olympiad tournaments, and am actively involved in Science Olympiad @ UCSD as an event coordinator. Aside from this, I am also a VP of Rocket Propulsion Laboratory @ UCSD and an active researcher in the UCSD Physics Department.

Aside from academics, I like to lift weights, play video games, cook various cuisines, and subsequently eat from various cuisines. A fun fact about me is that I'm from Montgomery, New Jersey.

I competed in Science Olympiad for all 4 years of high school and my favorite events are the environment related ones because I love trees and animals and all that good stuff. Hi! I'm Alyssa and I'm a third year student majoring in Human Bio. I didn't get to compete in Science Olympiad in middle or high school, but since joining the alumni chapter here I've really enjoyed being an Event Supervisor for Write It Do It and Mission Possible. Even though I didn't have experience with it before, I stayed in the club because it provided me a really supportive and fun environment where I eventually got to meet my best friends! A fun fact about me is that I am also from New Jersey.

Hiii everyone! My name is Jozette and I'm a 2nd year Global Health major on the pre-med track! Funny enough though, when I was competing in Science Olympiad as a high schooler, my favorite events were balsa events (such as boomilever/tower/bridge)! As an Outreach Chair, I help out with sponsorships, outreach programs, and external relations. Outside of sci oly, I'm involved with global health advocacy/health policy work and student government! In my free time I love going on side quests with my friends, playing tennis, going to concerts, and traveling!
